Probably there has never been a better time to consider doing this exam, for peace of mind or stability of immigration and financial conditions. This is a compulsory requirement for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK (Permanent residency – PR) or for British citizenship (naturalization).

Life in the UK test is 45 minutes of duration, and contains 24 questions. Just to state the obvious: the questions are very simple if you prepare properly. In fact with proper preparation, anyone can pass this exam in 5 minutes. Even though the pass mark is 75% (need to answer 18 out of 24 questions), it’s very easy. You will be tested only on chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 of the new handbook “Life in the United Kingdom: A Journey to Citizenship”.

So stop waiting, use all the free resources you can to pass the Life in the UK exam. It’s simply not easy to live in a foreign country worrying about immigration status and job prospects.

All the very best.
By the way ….
The Secret to passing any exam is the study material you use. Especially for the Life in the UK Test there are so many resources out there, which makes selecting a book for this exam even more confusing. There is only one simple thing about the Life in the United Kingdom: A Journey to Citizenship (2007) book, all questions in the exam will be from this book !.
