This is a test taken by people who are applying for naturalization as British citizens or for indefinite leave to remain to show that they understand life in the UK.It is taken by people whose English level is ESOL Entry 3 or above, however if your English level is lower you need to attend some English classes that will prepare you for the test. These classes are found in local further education institutions.

If you have any complains after the test you can always report it to the test centre manager in the life in the UK test centre where you took your test, you should receive a written response within five working days. If you are still not satisfied with that then you can contact the test operations manager through writing to a specified address .There is usually no one here to attend to people personally so it is not advisable to go to the operations manager in person, instead wait for five working days to receive a response. There are times when access to this system is interrupted may be by repairs, when the system is being upgraded or by telecommunication failure. These are beyond the control of the supplier and the test centre will not accept any liability on such grounds. The test center will also not accept any liability for time lost as a result of these obstructions neither will they accept liability for any loss incurred as a result of you not taking the test.
